Designing a High-Tech Office with a Homely Touch

The inspiration for the design came from the Houzz website itself. The workspaces are divided into different rooms, each resembling a specific area of a home. From a wine cellar-inspired space to a bathroom-themed room, and even a pet and music room, the design aims to create a high-end experience for the employees.

One of the standout features of the office is the use of wall paintings inspired by photographs selected from the Houzz website. For example, a photo of a backyard terrace became a wall painting, leading to the addition of a grass-green carpet, garden furniture, plant pots, and greenery. This attention to detail creates a seamless blend between the virtual and physical spaces.

The choice of materials, furniture, and accessories reflects the high design standards of Houzz as a leading design platform. The office exudes a modern and sophisticated ambiance, perfectly aligning with the company's vision and character.

Creating a work environment that feels like home while still functioning as an office for 140 employees was a significant challenge. The design team successfully achieved this balance by meticulously planning each space to match its unique character. The result is an office that not only promotes employee comfort but also embodies the essence of Houzz's brand.

The project, which started in May 2018 and concluded in December 2018, required six months of planning to ensure that the office stood out while remaining consistent with the other ten Houzz offices worldwide. The attention to detail and commitment to uniqueness make this office a true testament to the brand's values.

The Houzz office in TLV has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award celebrates designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
